Psycho-Social Forum - Healing the World Through Consciousness of Inversion

International Forum Discusses Roots of Environmental Destruction – and Poses Workable Solutions
May 5, 2010 - Rich Jones

São Paulo, Brazil – May 4, 2010 –In the midst of unprecedented threats to the environment and human society, a group from various countries, fields of activity and religions will meet to consider the roots of destructive human behavior and how the human being’s pathological attitudes are impacting the planet and putting humankind at risk. The international forum, Healing the World Through Consciousness of Inversion, will be sponsored by the Stop the Destruction of the World Association (STOP) from May 13-15 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The forum will explore the premise that there is one cause of all disasters and suffering – the human being – whose unconscious psychopathology (ill feelings, bad intentions, inverted values, and corruption) causes him to act in a suicidal and homicidal manner.

“One of the clearest signs that the human being has created an inverted society is that he is enslaved by the fantasy of money,” says forum organizer, Dr. Claudia Pacheco. “But actually, it’s not money at all that brings goodness, health and well-being. Those things come from ethical, humanitarian, esthetical, and spiritual attitudes and actions that provide benefits for all, and economic prosperity follows as a result.”

Another example of inversion can be seen in the laws which ought to protect and facilitate compliance with human rights. What actually happens, however, is that the laws of society preserve the power and privilege of those whose behavior is less than exemplary.

Inversion can also be seen in the human preference for having over being, and this is creating a truly mediocre civilization where the human being makes it a priority to satisfy his five senses rather than strive for knowledge, science, sustainable technology, the arts and spirituality.

Humanity should have achieved a solution for problems such as cancer, hereditary and autoimmune diseases and cardio vascular and psychiatric illness by now, but the profit motives of the medical and pharmaceutical industries have so dominated research and the practice of medicine that this has been impossible. Problems such as drug abuse would also be resolved if the social structure were organized to provide the basic necessities for the security, health and well-being of all.

Humanity is at a crossroads: either we become more conscious of our inner problems and take more responsibility for our fellow human beings and the society in which we live (which would usher in an incredible era of sustainable development, health and prosperity), or we will witness the extinction of life on earth.

Join us at this forum to learn how you can participate in making the trilogy of beauty, truth and goodness present in day-to-day life instead of violence, hunger and injustice.
